The Threshing Room

A confidential peer group for Directors: Monthly sessions. Individual coaching. Real conversations. Agenda driven by you and the group.

Sift through the noise.
Strengthen what matters.
Let go of the rest.

No obligation or sales pitch. Just a place to explore the possibilities together.

You're trusted to translate strategy into reality — with a team who didn't choose it, leadership above you who did, and not always having safe place to process the >squeeze<.

You can't easily go upward. That can feel like weakness. You can't easily go downward. That can break confidentiality. So most directors carry the weight of that gap — quietly, and alone.

That's not a capability problem. That's a structural one. And it's exactly what The Threshing Room is designed for.

Why cross-sector?

The group is deliberately sector-diverse — and that's not a compromise, it's the point.

When everyone is from the same industry, there's hesitation. Competitive awareness. A tendency to trade solutions from the same playbook.

When the room is cross-sector, something different happens. The problem gets questioned, not just answered. Members help each other see what they can't see themselves — because they're not too close to it. The challenge isn't about logistics or FMCG or finance. It's about people, pressure, and how you lead through both. That part is universal.

Threshing is an old process: separating what has genuine value from what doesn't.

Keeping the grain. Letting go of the chaff.

Under sustained pressure, directors rarely get the chance to do this. Everything feels urgent. The noise drowns out the signal.

This is the room where you separate the two.

TWO KEY elements, designed to work together

Monthly Sessions

ONLINE - 90 MINUTES

Structured peer reflection, shared challenge, and honest conversation — facilitated throughout. Built around real issues brought by members, not pre-set content.

Monthly 1:1 Coaching

INDIVIDUAL - CONFIDENTIAL

One session per month with your Be:muse coach. What surfaces in the group gets worked through in private. Not reported to the group.

THE BENEFITS

What you'll get out of it

  • Clearer thinking under pressure. Not because the pressure goes away, but because you have a regular space to process it before it accumulates.

  • Better decisions. Directors have a consistent group of peers question the problem — not just the solution — it will change how you approach the hardest calls.

  • A network that lasts. These are peers you'll carry beyond the cohort year. Directors who've worked through hard things together don't lose touch.

  • The ability to lead without burning out or hardening. That's the quiet one. Having a group that “get you” with an unbiased and purposeful environment.

If you love the idea and want to sell it to your organisation, please get in touch and we will send you a ROI deck to help you.

Three Things we focus on

01

Purpose

Staying connected to why the work matters. Leading from meaning, not just momentum.

02

People

Remaining relational. Holding others without losing yourself. Creating the conditions for people to do their best work.

03

Performance

Leading with clarity under sustained pressure. Making good decisions. Not just doing more — doing the right things, well.

WHO IS THIS FOR?

You carry responsibility for people & Outcomes

You value how you lead, not just what you deliver. You've probably sat through leadership programmes that felt hollow. You want a space to think — with people who understand the weight of the role.

This is for you if…

-You carry sustained pressure and have little space to process it

-You want to lead well without burning out or hardening

-You value honest reflection over performance and polish

-You're willing to bring the real thing, not the curated version

-You understand that trust and real change takes time

This isn't for you if you want…

-Quick fixes or performance scripts

-Networking or business development

-Someone to tell you what to do

-Motivation coaching or accountability hacks

-A programme that avoids uncomfortable questions

THE FACILITATOR

I hold the space so the group can do its own work

After 17 years in corporate leadership at Unilever and Lipton, leading through change, complexity and sustained pressure — I now work with directors who want to lead well where they are.

Alongside this, I bring senior pastoral leadership experience: the ability to hold non-anxious, confidential space for leaders to think clearly, without agenda.

I bring the credibility to understand what directors actually face, and the depth to hold honest conversations with care. Confidentiality is a core discipline here.

"A calm, confidential space where directors can think clearly, lead well and remain human — without burning out or hardening."

HOW IT WORKS

TWO STEPS. NO SURPRISES

01

EXPRESS YOUR INTEREST

A short form — five honest questions. Takes about ten minutes. We're looking for fit, not the most impressive application. You'll hear back within five working days.

02

A BRIEF CONVERSATION

If there's a good fit, we'll arrange a 30-minute call. No preparation needed. This is as much for you to assess us as for us to assess you. If it's right for both — you're in.

THE ROOM IS SMALL BY DESIGN.

THE WORK IS REAL.

Let the conversation start…
